2nd international workshop on technical and legal aspects of data privacy and security (TELERISE) is taking lpace in Lugano on June 9th. There are several participants and paper presentations from Coco Cloud project, including the keynote talk that will be given by Benoit Van Asbroeck , Bird & Bird, Belgium.
Consortium meeting will take place from 26 to 28th of April 2016 at SAP premises in Sophia Antipolis.
The European Cloud Initiative has been announced on March 19th with a series of actions, including creating a European Open Science Cloud for European researchers and the European Data Infrastructure. The public and private investment needed to implement the European Cloud Initiative is estimated at €6.7 billion. The Commission estimates that, overall, €2 billion in Horizon 2020 funding will be allocated to the European Cloud initiative. The estimation of the required additional public and private investment is €4.7 billion in the period of 5 years.
Cloud Expo Europe, one the largest events in cloud area (last year there were 15.286 attendees) will take place on 12-13 April 2016. Coco Cloud will disseminate brochures and the other material in order to look for networking opportunities.

Security cluster (see section related initatives) is in the afternoon on Tuesday, 19 April (at the same venue as the Net Futures event). Cluster booth at the event is currently discussed.
On 18/03/2016 European Commission will organise cloud security worksop at Rue Philippe Le Bon 3, Brussels, BELGIUM. registration is open until Feb 15th.

EC has opened the public consultation on the “public-private partnership on cybersecurity and possible accompanying measures”.
The EC is consulting stakeholders on the areas of work of the future cybersecurity contractual public-private partnership. The Commission will use the feedback from the consultation to establish the PPP in the course of 2016.
The consultation is open until 11 March 2016.
