Annual privacy forum 2015

The European Commission Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT), the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA) and, as local host, the University of Luxemburg organize a two-day event with the objective of providing a forum to academia, industry and policy makers. This year, the main focus of the Annual Privacy Forum will be on the privacy of electronic communications.

APF will take place on the 7th and 8th of October 2015 in Luxembourg, during the Luxembourgian Presidency of the Council of the EU.

ENISA Cloud security conference

ENISA is co-organising together with the Latvian Ministry of Defence a one day conference focused on Cloud Security. The Cloud Security Conference aims to be an educational and networking event on cloud computing security and privacy, under the umbrella of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The event will be hosted in Riga, Latvia on the 16th of June at the Swedbank building (Balasta dambis 1A, Riga, Latvia).

Keynote for TELERISE now confirmed

Coco-Cloud is also supporting organisation of the 1st International Workshop on TEchnical and LEgal aspects of data pRIvacy and Security, TELERISE, to be held in Florence on May 18th.

In total eight long papers and three short papers will be presented at TELERISE workshop, while the keynote speaker will be well-known security and privacy expert from Univ. Leuven, Prof. Bart Preenel. More details at this web Events page.

ISO standards adoption

There are several ongoing ISO standardisation efforts that directly relate to Cloud Computing, being ISO 27017 and ISP 27018 the most important ones. While 27017 (Privacy in the cloud) was already adopted in 2014 and the first certifications are starting to be announced in february 2015, the 27018 is expected to be adopted in the second half of 2015.
